Surprise Chef with Gemini & other MCP clients

Surprise Chef speaks the standard Model Context Protocol, so any MCP-compatible client should be able to connect. Gemini is untested but expected to work โ€” if you try it, please tell us how it went.

โš ๏ธ Heads up: untested

Surprise Chef has been tested end-to-end with Claude and ChatGPT. The MCP spec is the same across clients, so Gemini, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, and other MCP-aware tools should work โ€” but we haven't verified each one. If you connect a new client, drop us a note via your dashboard so we can add it to the supported list.

General MCP setup

  1. 1

Create your free Surprise Chef account

    Sign up at surprisechef.ai/signup.

  2. 2

    Get your MCP server URL

Open the Connect AI page in your dashboard. Copy the MCP server URL โ€” it's the same URL Claude and ChatGPT use.

  3. 3

Add it to your AI client

Follow your client's MCP install instructions. Most accept a server URL plus an OAuth flow or API key.

  4. 4

    Verify

Ask your AI 'list my tools' or run a known Surprise Chef prompt. If it returns kitchen data, you're connected.
